Started in April 2018, Rescue Readers is a collaborative program between Pawz and Purrz and our fantastic friends at the Southeast Steuben County Library in Corning. 

Rescue Readers is a monthly program that allows humans to read to rescue cats and dogs. These reading sessions are great for both the human and the pet! The pet gains socialization and companionship throughout the reading session. The reader improves their reading accuracy, speed, and confidence. 

This program is free and open to readers of any age. Please contact Pawz and Purrz or the Southeast Steuben County Library for dates and times of upcoming Rescue Readers sessions.
